Gregory Dowling is a founder of D Plus Architects. His portfolio of nationally and internationally recognized projects has won numerous awards from prestigious institutions and associations.

Over the years, he has played an integral role in the internationalization of Dplus and he remains a driving force behind the vision of expanding the practice’s global impact. During 44 years at Dplus, he has cultivated a wide spectrum of international experience, including expertise in cultural, hospitality, healthcare, commercial and educational architecture and master planning. Greg oversees the practice’s design profile, ensuring the quality of competition proposals and maintaining architectural standards in subsequent planning.

Mr. Dowling’s portfolio stands as a testament to his versatility. He has worked on Fairmont Empress hotel, Canada's most heritage hotel; Granville island, the world's most successful urban renewal project turning an abandoned industrial island into a world attraction that receives more than 12 million visitors per year. Su Zhou Industry Park and China Medical City, China's most successful industry parks. Whistler Resort, one of the world's best ski resorts. As the chief planner, Greg helped Shanghai successfully won the right to hold the 2010 Expo.

Mr. Dowling is also a highly sought public speaker at universities in Canada and abroad, and he regularly sits on the juries of international competitions.
