Fred Dalla-Lana is internationally recognized as one of Canada’s leading architects. Throughout his career, his work has integrated architectural excellence, innovation, and sustainable design, and has contributed to raising the standards of contemporary architecture and urbanism, in Canada and abroad. For this work, he is the recipient of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s Gold Medal (1997). Born and raised in London, UK, Mr.Dalla-Lana earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in 1968. He worked in London before co-founding DGBK Architects, which later became Dplus. Since then Mr.Dalla-Lana’s leadership and commitment to architectural excellence has been influential in establishing Dplus as one of Canada’s premiere architectural practices, and recipient of numerous awards for design excellence. Mr.Dalla-Lana’s diverse portfolio encompasses cultural, civic, educational, hospitality, healthcare, and performing arts projects across North America as well as in Asia. |
